 the grip of greediness and place us under his grace.

Presiding over the 20th anniversary of ashram.

The chief guests are 36 poor old women  neglected in nearby villages.

the ashram supports them for the past few years.

The women are offered tea on Arrival.

All of them arrived for participating in 20th anniversary of Ashram.

They are sitting with a silent of mind.

Know yourself.

Then you will know their difficulties in their silence.

Poverty is the major problem all over.

Even with so much of advancement in technology,

Even the great intellectuals and great political leaders 

are  not able to understand the problem of poverty.

Know yourself.

Then you will know that the main reason for that

 is selfishness and false sense of security.

The Mother and Daughter.

The daughter is dumb and deaf and she needs medical assistance.

Know yourself.

Then You will understand 

how humbly they are expressing their difficulties

 through their eyes.

you can very clearly see their difficulties in their eyes

 no need to express in words.

they are always under the shadow of anxiety

and worry about getting the basic things of

food clothes and shelter.

To start with let us feed them first.

All the guests are served with good food.

The old women having lunch in ashram.

Know yourself.

then you will know how much you waste on weekend parties.

Then You will know that you can make better use of your money

by helping people who are in hunger in your area.

Don't disturb anyone while taking food.

it is bad to discuss about others good and bad deeds at dining table.

 Serving also requires skills of heart.

 Always try to eat food along with family members and friends.

At least dinners and at weekends.

It gives some sense of security to children and

 a sense of satisfaction to you.

 Growing Girls need nutritious food.

Always try to avoid expensive junk food. 

and prepare at home and take lunch boxes.

Try to feed some young girl or boy in your surroundings.

 It is pity that these people cant afford quality food.

and we waste lots of food in fridges and kitchens,

 and even no time to eat our lunch boxes in office,

due to pressures and games of corporate world.

Don't compromise on food and health.

You can have a good job and business without present stress.

Know yourself.

Then you will know where to draw that line of control.

Take the things under your control and understand the people who are in need.

 What is this ???

This is an instrument for measuring rice.

With whatever money we get from people, we buy rice and food items and

distribute among the 36 poor women who are supported by ashram.

 The rice is packed in individual bags.

 When it comes to charity we compromise on quality and quantity.

We use some good quality items and donate the cheaper items.

But the best thing to do is understand the needs of them,

and give them the items ,

what they need on priority.

We are always under the scanner of God.


All our good and bad deeds are observed by him.
When our efforts are in right direction
he will offer his helping hand.

 Extend your helping hand to Ashram.

 You need to experience that satisfaction directly

 by serving food to people who are in hunger.

Let us review our own case,

when we served an outsider ???

with an exception of our friends and family members,

 during last one decade of parties and celebrations.

Honestly i can say that

"" I have not served any outsider.""

It is always my family members and friends only.

 Sri Ramana Maharshi is helping people 

to understand the purpose of life. 

 Two Gentlemen from Canada and Dubai sent money

 for serving food on this anniversary day.

 Our Selfishness is intelligent enough to escape from the charitable activities,

By finding some reason for not doing it,
 it may be having no trust in the organization , 
or finding some other personal exigencies in using the money.

Know yourself.

Then You will do something good directly by yourself.

Know yourself.

Then you will know that a fist full of rice will fill hundreds of bags

 and we can channelize your contributions in right direction.

 Pocket money is given to these old women for purchasing hair oil and soaps.

Don't think that it is paining to see all these poor people.

when you start serving poor people 

you will put all your cosmetics in dust bin.

And jump into action of  doing some thing good for others.

It can be anywhere, it need not be in our ashram.

 We Received 225 US dollars from A Gentleman from Canada.

He said that  god has given him an opportunity to serve poor people.

He sent this money after his Trip to Kailash Manasasarovar,

the Heavenly above of Lord Shiva in Himalayas.

We received 160 dollars from a Gentleman from Dubai.

He said that when i am doing something to others, 

it is in one way i am helping myself.

He is with a firm opinion that people with money and position 

should pay back to society 

and it will in turn place them in peace and happiness.

 Food has to be taken with complete peace of mind.

So there is no spiritual teachings and moral teachings at this point.

It is only when stomach is full, 

people can listen about spirituality and moral code of conduct.

Now the Distribution of New clothes to the chief guests of Ashram.

There is no compromise on the quality of rice given to the poor women.

it is 100 percent same rice

which we use in ashram.

Then You will know that

All the advancements in technology is 

for creating a comfortable conditions for you.

Then you will know that Your real comfort and happiness

 is there in knowing about yourself.

These women are so weak that they can not 

carry the rice on their own.

A servent of  Sri Ramana Maharshi
is distributing New Sarees to chief guests. 

Ashram accepts donations from one hand
 and distributes with other hand.

Even Small Contributions will also help 

in brining light in the faces of these old women.

These old women are Ashram's  priority.

 Any one across the globe can donate to them.

When you give something,
 you will get many more things.

God records all your good deeds and 
gives you the fruits of your charity.

When we receive something ,

 we show our gratitude to them.

these women are happy with  the contributions given to them by 

Sri Ramana Maharshi's Devotees.

The rice bags are ready.

The rice bags are loaded in auto. 

This auto will drop the women at their small quarters in village.

It is only when we are young and energetic ,

we can do something good to society.

Do Your best in your youth,

 to serve people who are in need.

When You are not having internal strength,

a sense of fear appears in your eyes.

Know yourself.

Then you will know that the reason for all our fears are

 there in our false sense of identification of
 ourselves with body and mind.

We all one and same.

the only difference is

Our place of work the duties and responsibilities, 

differs from person to person,

which we  acquire due to our good and bad deeds.

Then the destiny is created for us to experience the fruits of our deeds.

Then You will know that god has given us 

certain duties with a purpose.

Now Make the first step in attending to your duties in this world

with total enthusiasm and energy.

Know your self.

Then you will get all the energy and enthusiasm from the power of true self.

Then that support center will ensure that

 you will progress in good direction.

Know yourself.

Then you will know that attending to those duties and 
serving all others as part of service to god

is the primary goal for you.

there is no gender discrimination for that true self.

Then you will know that you are beyond the purview of 

all types of differentiations and discriminations.

Then you will know that what remains is that
 all pervading power of true self only.

All of them are happy with

 day long celebrations on the occasion of 
Ashram's 20th Anniversary.

Ashram wants to build a shelter 

for these old women in ashram grounds itself.

Ashram requests all the devotees to donate 

for helping these women with basic needs

of food clothing and Shelter.

They will come again to ashram 

after one month to collect rice and pocket money.

When our efforts are directed towards doing good to others.

God gives us all the necessary comforts and peace.

This old women is waiting with a ray of hope.

Know yourself.

Then all your thoughts will vanish and

 you will start acting with the power of true self.

Then all your actions will be diverted towards 

doing something good for others.

then you will know that

when you have a mind,

which is free from receiving hurt and inflicting hurt,

 then only you can sit peacefully at any where.

You can read from their eyes.

You can read from smile also.

 the teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi.

Sri Ramana Maharshi's Teachings will help us

in understanding the meaning and purpose of life.

Then we will lead our rest of our life with enthusiasm and energy 

and also with love and compassion towards each and everyone.

We are always driven by that power of true self.

god has given us beautiful life and 

created all beautiful things around us in our area.

The Way of Selflessness - Sri Ramana's Way.

Wherever you are, in whatever conditions,

 state of affairs and circumstances, 

everyday your mind should remain at the base of its origin.

 That should be your priority. 

There are no internal and external things.

 Everything is made of that mind. 

When the mind starts its activity even a serene place

 will become like a busy market yard.

There is no use by just closing the eyes with meditation. 

The Mind’s Eye has to be closed. 

That Mind which is functioning like an Eye has to be closed.
The Wise men will never think and plan 

their actions and activities in advance.
The God who has sent us into this world 

thought and planned something different for us.

 That master plan only will become an action plan

 in a phased manner.

 There is only one real thing.

 That is our real form.

 That is the eternal truth.

 But now we are mesmerized by the illusionary thing.

 For coming out of that illusionary thing and its influence, 

for knowing about that true state only,

 the devotional practices, prayers, self-inquiry etc., are there.

With an inclination towards that true self only

 that immersion in illusionary thing can be removed.

In reality this disposition of mind towards that true self

 is for removing the obstructions only which are standing as

 stumbling blocks.

 Everything is dependent on that true self.

 Nothing is there, which is not dependent on that true self.

 Even the ignorance of it,

 is also due to that power of true self. 

That ignorance, without troubling that true self,

 will be appearing in the true self.

But the person who is troubled and suffering is

 the soul which is surviving with its sense of self,

 with its pride and ego.

So that Ignorance belongs to that Soul.

When darkness is there in room, 

lamp is required for eyes to identify the things.

 When the sun rises,

 the things will appear without the need of lamp.

 For seeing the Sun there is no need of a lamp;

 just you need to turn your sight towards that self shining Sun.

Similarly for identifying the things, 

a reflection from light is required for that mind. 

For identifying the heart you need to turn towards it.

 That is enough.

 Then the mind will submerge into it

 and the light of Heart will shine resplendently.

The True self by shining as Only One, 

will never declare that it is the Supreme Power.

 Does any human being will make a statement that

 “ I am the human being ” If somebody denies that,

 then he can do like that, if not, 

where is the necessity for him to make such declarations ???.

“ I am not an animal; I am a human being” 

to make this statement also it is impossible for him 

to conclude himself as an animal.

Similarly, the True self will be shining as Only One, 

while no one is there to deny it, 

there is no need for it to declare that “ I am the Supreme Power “.

 Seeing same identity in many things

 is called as total equality.

 Accepting the dualities of happiness and sorrow etc.,

 are based on this type of equal identity.

There is only one observer.

 If the viewer is not there Scenes are not there.

There may be N number of changes in scenes 

but there is no change in the observer.

 That is the One to be seen.

Even though it is not to be felt by mind,

 the true self has to be experienced by the mind only.

 It means, the Dead mind - the thoughtless and action less Mind, 

by the mind which has turned inside.

 That mind which has turned to transform itself,

 by finding its Origin, will become like that.

 Then it will never remain like a thing,

 which always tries to know some thing.

 When the things are seen as separate from that true self,

 then all the things are just illusions. 

But when they are felt as part of that true self,

 when they are treated as not separate from that true self,

 they will become reality. 

Only due to the core strength of that true self 

they are treated as reality.
